Lexinomicon may introduce some unfamiliar concepts. In this section the basic functionality of Lexinomicon will be explained and any concepts which are beyond those associated with basic Macintosh or Windows usage will be defined. The Application Lexinomicon serves as an study aid for your courses. It presents materials created by your instructor. You may also create materials for later study. You are allowed a specified number of attempts to answer a given exercise. Answer correctly and you are presented with the next exercise, answer incorrectly the specified number of times and you are presented with the correct answer which you should enter to proceed to the next exercise. An indicator bar at the bottom center of the Lexinomicon window displays your answer status. You may at any time use the Help menu to request a hint if one is provided or the correct answer. Navigation is done automatically or by using the previous and next buttons in the toolbar. You may also select exercises directly from an open workbook.
