Somehow inexplicably, this morning we all received wake-up calls at 6 AM, which was way too early to wake-up for our 7:45 meeting time. No one has confessed and we don’t quite know how that happened, but after our initial confusion, we managed to fall back asleep. And while we were sad to leave Turkey, Samos is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous beaches and charming towns. It’ll be fun to explore the island more tomorrow during our free day, and to hit up the beaches, of course.
The Eupalinus Tunnel was really cool with a small, narrow entrance that only Jackie could stand up in, and a long, lit passageway overlooking deep chambers cut down into the rock. It reminded us all of different things, from the tunnel of the spider Shelob in Lord of the Rings to the mines in Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom, but we all decided it was wicked cool. And there were five cats running around outside, which is always a plus.
And for the record, Nkosi gives very good hand massages.
