
The National Gallery can be easily viewed from Trafalgar Square. Photography is forbidden inside, but it contains such famous paintings as Van Eyck’s “The Arnolfini Portrait” and Caravaggio’s “The Supper at Emmaus.”

The National Portrait Gallery stands near the northeast corner of Trafalgar Square. Photography is also forbidden here, but it displays over 1,000 portraits featuring British men and women who have affected history from the Middle Ages to the present day.

At the end of another long day at British museums, we arrive at the airport. Although things become a little stressful, the group makes the best of the situation.
