We had quite an adventure trying to get to Reading. Who would have thought that the bus to “Reading” would drop us off in the middle of nowhere next to a strip mall and McDonalds. We ended up taking three separate cabs, which then took us in huge circles around town before finally arriving at our destination. Coming back from the University was even worse. As if we hadn’t learned our lesson the first time, we used the cab service again to return to the desolate bus stop. Unfortunately two were ten minutes late, and we nearly missed our bus. But the experience of actually handling pots at the museum made up for the troubles we had in transportation and the early wake up call at 6 AM. Caleb apparently suffered the most as he had a hard time keeping awake for most of the day. After a short trip to the British Museum, we arrived back to the Ridgemont hotel safely, even if it was on empty stomachs from both a breakfast and a lunch on the go. You would have thought that dinner would be better, but, given only an hour to prepare for Hecuba, we had to grab some quick bites of sandwiches while changing. It was really great to see everyone dressed up so well, and it will be a good image to recall when we are all sweaty in Greece hiking up the hillside.
