Final Comments: April 7

Today was a very long and involved much hiking. We got to see some incredible places, but we also appreciated the nap time the bus rides provided. Caleb got to hug two more baetyl stones, and also expanded his Minoan cult activity by shaking a tree with Laura. Katherine’s pants and one of Laura’s calves became the latest casualties as they were both ripped open. The funniest part of the day occurred early on, when following Prof. Rutter like good little ducklings, we realized he didn’t want us to follow him when he needed to go to the bathroom. Lastly, our farm animal adventures continue; there are sheep on seemingly every mountain in Greece. When climbing down Myrtos Pyrgos, we disturbed a big flock of sheep and its shepherd, who was attired in a leather jacket and backwards baseball hat. All in all, it was a good day but our beds will feel very good tonight.
