Hello to all! Today, Sunday April 24, marks the first day of the first Independent Study Project (ISP) research period. For the next week, the students will be working on their respective projects and working out or identifiying any problems or additional research they may have to conduct during the second half of the trip. Not only does this week give everyone a break from the hectic pace of daily field trips, but also it encourages them to get as much work done now so that the final week of the FSP, when they will put the finishing touches on their projects, can run as smoothly as possible.
Most of the students are staying in Athens in order to supplement their research at various museums in the city. A few others will travel to sites outside of Athens (Peter, for instance, is heading back to Crete!) as the demands of their projects dictate.
We depart for Istanbul on the evening of the 29th, and will be back online the 30th, this time from Turkey. Until then, we wish you all a wonderful week, and we will share our stories again with you soon!
