We had more adventures with peanut butter and jelly on the bus today. Ben miraculously managed to make a double-decker sandwich, as the bus bumped along a curvy road. The peanut butter and jelly jars were both narrowly saved from an unhappy fate on the floor of the bus by an ever vigilant Caleb.
Thus far, the group has been pleasantly surprised to find Sparta less sketchy than we had been led to believe by sources from previous trips. In fact, Sparta appears to be no less pretty than a lot of other Greek towns. Children can be heard playing outside, and the snow-capped mountains stand majestically over the red tile roofs of white and yellow stucco houses. We’ll let you know how it turns out after we’ve spent a night here.
