Our group was a little more than a little annoyed this past day, by the presence of a large number of pre-teen in our hotel who made a whole lot of noise. Luckily, we had eaten breakfast and were preparing to leave before the loud group came down to breakfast. Most of us were already looking forward to lunch, especially since our long search for peanut butter had finally ended in success, pb& j for lunch. Our first stop of the day was at Lerna, but when we arrived at the site, it was not yet opened. Fortunately, we only had a short wait before the guard drove up to open the gate for us.
While having some extra time at the Argos Museum, some of us journeyed towards town where we stumbled across a bakery we had visited the day before. We made some delicious purchases of chocolate mice, which we discovered were filled with chocolate mousse. Yummy! And they were only a euro apiece. It was a short while before it was lunchtime. However, the peanut butter was not as good as Skippy or JIF, it tasted good enough for most of us to have seconds.
The latter part of our day was spent lounging around at the theater at Epidauros, where we took great enjoyment at watching the other groups visiting the theater. This included a large bunch of Greek students, who dashed up the stadium walls in a large mob that spread over the seat chanting a Greek song. The acoustics of the theater were so good that you could hear a coin drop all the way from the top of the theater. We could even here Nkosi whispering from our seats at top. After the theater began to clear out, some members of group decided to venture down and belt out some of our favorite Disney songs including “A Whole New World” and “Part of Your World” which was a great him among all those watching. We even got some scattered applause from the on-looking crowd.
